Langtang Valley Trek Itinerary

Once again, Nepal surprises us with space more to practice the sport “trekking”, this time it is one of the areas that is gaining more and more recognition, Langtang valley trek itinerary route. A region located to the north on the border with Tibet. Langtang is also known for being one of the first parks in the Himalayan range region, and for being the fourth largest park in the region.

Langtang is a tour that lasts approximately ten days, although this may vary depending on the hiker and the stops that you wish to make. In 2015, it was one of the most damaged trek route in Nepal due to the unfortunate earthquake registered in the country. In the Langtang Valley trek itinerary route several avalanches were unleashed which generated numerous loss of lives and left a devastating situation, which is why the Valley was closed to tourism.

After the unfortunate event, the area is quite recovered thanks to the efficient work done in the valley and it is currently opened to tourism, although it has some limitations because of the capacity of the accommodation, despite that is still worthwhile.

Langtang Valley Trek begins

Our ten day trip begins in the popular city of Kathmandu, where you must process the Trekking Information Management System card to be accredited for trekking in the area. The Kathmandu Valley since the 70s is among the places declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. After processing the permit, you will be ready to start this adventure. Our next stop is Syabrubesi at about 1500 meters above sea level, to get there you have to take a bus in the city which implies an 8 hours journey or take a rustic which will take about 6 hours, the second option is more comfortable and safe but it all depends on your budget.

I realize after completing Langtang Valley trek itinerary route that it’s good to have a guide for this journey, the truth is that it is not necessary since the roads are quite clear, although it is always advisable to take at least one porter or someone who knows the zone and handle the language foreseeing some improvisation. The best time to take this trek is in the spring and autumn. It is important to take this into account when planning your trek and to ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.
